5.17 Agenda Overview: Free Day!!
☺☺☺
These past few days have been full of learning about both sport in South Korea and the culture the country has to offer. Today was a little break from the academic aspect...and as long as we all promised to work hard on our Globalization Group Project, Professor Kim allowed us to have a free day to explore Seoul!
-- Everyone did a little something different -- Here is a little snippet of everyone's day --
A couple of the guys went indoor climbing || Pictured is a top out by Zach T
> In the words of Zach T: Jack E is "him" at climbing
A few of them ended up playing basketball || Pictured is Max, Viktor, and Jeremy at the court
> The plan was to go hiking, but the mountain closed earlier than they had thought :(
Some guys went on their own solo adventures || Pictured is Josh at a PC-Bang and Zach T completing a scavenger hunt task
> Josh played overwatch and experienced another PC-Bang at the League of Legends Park, a major Esport game here in Asia
> Zach T went to a mall and ended up passing a Korean Pop Group, Evnne's Performance. Along the way he ran into a Cyber Truck which checks off a task of our ongoing scavenger huntAnd others got their much-needed beauty sleep and slept in till 2pm!
The girls split up today. One duo going to Hongdae to get a first tattoo and shop. The other duo shopping as well and going to a Korean Band's Concert at KSPO dome || Pictured is how we, Eloise photo creds to Gabby and Sophie & Me, spent our day^
> Eloise completing her Duolingo streak while getting her first tattoo, she rated the pain a 4/10 and is understandably obsessed with her new tattoo! I am actively attempting to convince her to get one in Tokyo too!
> After we did some window shopping and bit of real shopping too, Sophie got her hair cut today and it turned out so well> Here we are at the LUCY concert. I enjoyed it so much, and on top of the great music and experience we were even able to check out the KSPO dome that was used for gymnastics events during the 1988 Seoul Olympics because they use it a lot for entertainment purposes now
A lot of us rounded out the day with group karaoke. Professor Kim joined as well after spending time with her parents with a dinner and exploring new parts of Seoul || Pictured is a group of us in the karaoke rooms
> This outing was very fun and also a way to experience another leisure time activity that takes away time Koreans could spend on sports
> Shoutout Zach S, my fellow filo, for having a great set of pipes! Man, Otto Tunes is lucky to have you
^^Peep me holding the Hongdae duo's shopping bags so they could get good pics^^
